I walked into Felix's for lunch,
and you walked into my heart forever.

I wasn't looking for love.

You were not part of my plan,
but now I can't plan without you.
I thank God every day that you were in His plan for me.
You filled a void I didn't even know I had,
and have made me complete.

You are my best friend.
You make me laugh.
You let me cry.
You make my heart happy.

I have a peace and contentment that surpasses anything I've ever felt before.

You're not perfect,
but you're perfect for me.

I love your intelligence, your wit, your integrity, and your compassion for people.

I love you with dark blonde in your hair today
and will love you with light silver in your hair tomorrow.

I love the family you have walked through life with,
and I promise to never cause them concern for your well being.

I take you as a partner through life, to not only be by my side,
but to be by the sides of my children.
We are a package, and they are truly a gift.
They will make you laugh more than you thought possible,
and may make you shed a few tears.
I look forward to partnering with you as we provide for them,
not just financially, but more importantly-- emotionally and spiritually.
To protect them not only physically,
but to protect their hearts and minds.
To be an example to them, a leader, an encourager--a guide.

I know that time and circumstances will change us,
but the part of us that must not change
is the love and respect we have for each other.

Even with the enormous amount of love I have for you today,
I know it is just the beginning of the depths of love I will feel for you
in all our tomorrows.

I become one with you today.
Forever.
Our hearts will begin to beat as one.
I hope we become such a part of each other
that when death tragically takes one of us away,
the other heart will have trouble beating on its own.
